Privacy Policy
Collections for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Last updated 3 November 2026.
Summary
Collections is made by Ademola Fadumo. It does not collect or share any personal data. Everything the app knows about your library is stored on your device and stays there.
What stays on your device
The folders you add, the catalogue built from them, thumbnails, playback positions, Up Next, your settings, and which items you blur or lock are all stored locally on your device. Your app password, if you set one, is kept in the device's keychain. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.
What we don't do
Collections has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it does not connect to any server. It reads only the folders you choose to add, and it does not upload your files anywhere. Because no data leaves your device, no third party receives any data from the app.
Face ID and Touch ID
If you unlock private items with Face ID or Touch ID, the check is done by the operating system. Collections only learns whether it succeeded and never has access to your biometric data.
Folder access
Collections can only see the folders you pick. To end its access to a folder, remove it in Settings › Folders. On the Mac you can also manage the app's access to your files in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
Apple services
If you turn on sharing with app developers in your device's analytics settings, Apple may send us crash reports and aggregate usage statistics, which don't identify you. Your device's iCloud or Time Machine backups may include the app's local data. Both are controlled by you and covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data
Removing a folder from Collections removes its catalogue entries. Deleting the app removes your library and settings. The app password can stay in the device's keychain after the app is deleted; it never leaves the device, and you can remove it first in Settings › Privacy. Your original files are never changed or deleted by the app.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. All of your data stays on your device, under your control.
Children
Collections collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
